Dr. Jason Chan

My name is Dr Jason Chan.  On graduating in 1990 from Melbourne University, I entered General Practice where I took an interest in sports medicine and adolescent health.

During this time I’ve continued to do surgical assisting for many orthopaedic and bariatric surgeons. These interests have taken me afield, to work in many varied areas of medicine.  I’ve looked after many sporting teams, where I currently work as the doctor for the Melbourne Storm Rugby League Club.  My interests in adolescent health and working in a community health centre fostered my interests in obesity and its management.  It’s been nearly 10 years now since I’ve begun working with Mr Winnett, helping in surgery, before finally progressing to managing many of his post-operative patients.  I consult now 2-3 sessions per week in my scope as a bariatric physician and enjoy my work immensely.
